Pointe Communication's TeleCommute Solutions Subsidiary
Secures $19 Million in New Venture Financing From
Leading Technology Investors; Investment Syndicate Led
by MCI WorldCom Venture Fund With Additional Investments From Columbia Capital, Boston Millenia Partners and HIG Capital

ATLANTA, Feb. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Pointe Communications Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: PCOM - news), (PointeCom(TM)), an integrated communications provider for the Americas, today announced that its TeleCommute Solutions (TCS) subsidiary, a leading provider of workforce connectivity services, has closed its latest round of venture financing. The $19 million round was led by MCI WorldCom Venture Fund with additional investments from Columbia Capital, Boston Millennia Partners and HIG Capital. Robinson-Humphrey acted as the placement agent.

``We are pleased to announce the addition of this top-flight group of strategic investors to the TCS team,' said Stephen L. Schilling, president and CEO of TeleCommute Solutions. ``This round of funding provides fundamental validation that the market is enthusiastic about our comprehensive approach to remote work and telecommuting. The depth of experience and resources this new group of investors bring to TCS will allow us to greatly accelerate our national expansion.'

TeleCommute Solutions' bundle of workforce connectivity services -- including its managed VPN services, intelligent voice solutions and support services -- are now available to enterprise customers in 10 markets around the country. This round of financing will assist TCS in its national expansion plans, which include providing flat-rate local network connectivity in over 50 markets by the end of April and broader local dial in over 200 markets by the end of the year.

``Telecommute Solutions' strong management team and impressive insight into this emerging market
is what attracted us,' said Jim Fleming, managing director for Columbia Capital. ``While most telecom companies today are focused on a specific technology or stand alone product offering, TCS has created a bundled service offering that truly addresses a specific need of corporate America. We believe TCS to be the prototype for a new breed of application-focused service providers.'

Pointe Communications President and Chief Operating Officer Peter C. Alexander said, ``As one of the leaders in developing state-of-the-art platforms for remote workforces, this new funding positions TeleCommute Solutions to significantly expand its presence in the telecommuting
marketplace. PointeCom continues to demonstrate its product diversity, as the company is also an active competitive local exchange carrier ('CLEC``) targeting domestic and international Hispanic communities, and a broad-based provider of communications services for businesses throughout the U.S. and Latin America.'

I agree Joe, and FVSNE is scheduled to lose its "E" tomorrow.

FWIW - I liked the CEO a lot

Joe, just to let all know, the MM's on **FVSNE** are tricky and will hold orders a long time before filling; part of their game to make it look like a lack of interest perhaps.

A little patience required here.

It took almost an hour for my orders to fill yesterday. I complained about it to my broker and they finally filled it.

PS- watch ** JBRD **, fully reporting and might be due for a run; SETO, too, who knows?
