To turn somewhat bullish on Gold short term, I'd have to see a close above $327 on the POG and a close above 80 on the XAU.

To get full confirmation of a new bull market in Gold, I would need to see a close above $340 on the POG and a close above 90 on the XAU.

Otherwise any rally is merely corrective or bear market in nature here.

"safe bonds" ha- the government has pushed prudent savers either into
the stock market or into getting hardly any return on fixed income..
as full full fledged inflationary boom...only when Japan etc blooms..
right now as long as they are still struggling along with a lot of
other countries..don't see full fledged inflation..
also the deflationary trends of internet and replacing a lot of workers should also keep wage inflation down along with all the mergers and the layoffs..
it is a shame that some on this thread don't start tracking the economies of other countries rather than just looking for doom and gloom or riding the rollercoaster of the ups and downs of pog
still think barrick and homestake etc are steals at these prices for
investors who have a long term horizon..
it is such a pain to have all these whipsaws in gold price..I think
a lot of investors are waiting for a continuous climb first..to add
to their positions unless they are traders..or option writers on their
gold stocks..

Well, they are talking about gold on CNBC, but saying "ONE company" eliminated their hedge position is FAR from true! They did not even mention the HM results released overnight, or the VERY low hedge position! Jerks!
No,, just have to remember, "but I play one on TV".
