Xybernaut(R) Reports Additional Sales in Gulf Area

$500,000 Sales Contract Received in Saudi Arabia, Additional Sales Made in Kuwait and Dubai

FAIRFAX, Va., Feb. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Xybernaut Corporation (Nasdaq: XYBR - news), the leader in wearable computing, and PAMAS Trading & Contracting
Est., a leading distributor of computers and electronics in Saudi Arabia and the surrounding Gulf states, today announced that they have finalized additional
agreements, including an order for approximately $500,000 of Xybernaut's Mobile Assistant® IV (MA IV®) systems to be shipped over the next several months.
This contract was concluded at the Saudi Computer Technology 2000 show last week, and sales of initial MA IV systems were also made last week to customers in
Dubai and Kuwait.

Dr. Ibrahim El Wakkad, executive corporate president for PAMAS, stated, ''Xybernaut's products were very well received by attendees at the Saudi Computer
Technology 2000, and we received a great deal of attention from print and electronic media. With its combination of wireless communications, full- function
computing and hands-free operation, the MA IV system is ideal for many customers in the Middle East to improve security, productivity and the quality of their
products and services. We see a strong future for Xybernaut in these markets, and our initial commitment for first year sales of Xybernaut products is $3 million,
which, with the grace of almighty Allah, is a level we are confident we can exceed. PAMAS has now established a separate business unit dedicated to providing
Xybernaut's products and solutions for our customers in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. We are staffing this business unit with qualified technical personnel to
provide solutions uniquely suited to the Arabic-speaking world.''

Dr. Steven A. Newman, vice chairman of Xybernaut, added, ''We were very pleased with the results of our exhibition with PAMAS at this show where we
demonstrated the MA IV using IBM's Via Voice in Arabic and Windows 98 in Arabic to provide solutions understandable at all levels of the local workforce. The
security, construction, petrochemical, transportation and telecommunication industries in the Gulf area are very promising customers for Xybernaut's products and
services, and we look forward to furthering our relationship with PAMAS as we develop these significant markets.''
