Geoff writes: Mike, options are a legitimate alternative to equities, both in taking long and short positions on Dell. In addition, they can provide a useful tool for hedging an existing position. So your remarks suggesting that they are an inappropriate topic for discussion are off base. I never said they weren't you are putting words in my mouth. When I read a couple of dozen post about someone arguing about the fundamentals of option trading it becomes frustrating. Like whether selling a put is bullish or bearish on a stock. If they'd like to discuss it as it regards to DELL - OK. Otherwise, let them discuss option trading 101 elsewhere. Mike
