Thu Feb 10 10:28:00 EST 2000

FRAMINGHAM, Mass., Feb 10, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

Exhibitor poll reveals a broad range of new products and applications
developed to run on Windows 2000 to be announced next week.

IDG World Expo (www.idgworldexpo.com), the world's leading producer of
IT-focused conferences and expositions, today announced the results of its
pre-show poll of Windows 2000 Conference & Expo (www.windows2000expo.com)
exhibitors. The poll revealed over 50 new Windows-based products will be
announced at the show next week. Windows 2000 Conference & Expo is the world's
first and only tradeshow to focus exclusively on the entire line of Microsoft
Windows 2000-based enterprise products and applications.

Close to 200 exhibitors polled indicated they planned their product announcement
around the Windows 2000 Conference & Expo, and most products have been developed
specifically for Windows 2000. Microsoft plans to unveil Windows 2000 on
Thursday, February 17, offering general retail, channel and OEM availability of
the product at the event.

"We're honored that so many dynamic companies chose the Windows 2000 Conference
& Expo as the launch venue of choice for their new Windows 2000-based products,"
says Charlie Greco, President and CEO of IDG World Expo. "This show will be a
magnet for IT professionals and other key decision-makers, as it will give them
the rare opportunity to explore the endless possibilities Microsoft's
Windows-based products and applications offer."

Exhibitors also indicated they developed their new Windows-based products for a
range of audiences in mind - from healthcare to telecommunications, from
education to government - to fit any size enterprise operating in a Windows
environment.

Windows 2000 Conference & Expo runs from February 15-17 at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, CA. The show will feature keynote speeches by Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates, Dell Computer Chairman and CEO Michael Dell,
and Compaq President and CEO Michael Capellas.
