Blair's looking good, FIT is looking good. Gold is looking good, and internet shorts are looking good. What a happy day in Jim-land.

Northwest Pipe - just tell me if that pile of inventory is still on their lot between the executive offics and the factory. I remember having some accounting questions two years ago when I gave this one a good look - can't remember what they were, and once I develop those kind of suspicions on a company I never look at it again.

Blair report is thin, but it reads great given the valuation (something like $20 of net current assets + real estate, maybe it was more than that - no need to recall exactly until the stock is close to there). Fourth quarter they did $1.05 net vs $.79 in 1998. The improvement was "primarily due to increased response to a reduced advertising program" - sounds good to me. It looks like they repurchased something like 10% of their share count, so the net-net per share valuation might have even gone up.

Berkshire Hathaway B's below 1600 - Mike, you're getting close, and CNBC tells me we're still in a bull market. So smile!
