hi doug...

"Compaq has issued a fix for long system lock-ups
caused by the company's Service Connection software,
which automatically sends users of some Presario
desktop PCs BIOS updates and other upgrades
intended to boost performance."

[that might allude to it]

pcworld.com

checking compaq's website would probably tell us more.

Right click My Computer click properties then device manager. Then he had me delete things that he said weren't necessary and things that were duplicated.Seems we went some where else as well, doing the same thing.. Can't remember where. He said that free system resources should be at least 80%. Actually I must have deleted something I shouldn't have as my "instant internet" has been disabled.I'll call him back on that one.
