Intel could revisit Socket Seven theregister.co.uk;

If true, this would play havoc with VIA'a Joshuva Socket370plans.
This is what happens when you follow the market dominating leader's
proprietary standards - they can change them at will to thwart and crush
the competition. I don't see any big threat to AMD though. I'm glad
AMD has been aggressive pursuing it's own as well as open standards.Goutama

Just got my copy of this month's Red Herring.

Transmeta is on the cover--headline: THIS COULD CHANGE EVERYTHING. Then a little picture of the Crusoe chip.

Their marketing organization is simply unbelievable. AMD ought to take notes.
