FWIW, I let a certain poster to this thread talk me into selling my CSCO in late 1998 - at about 40, post-split. The fundamentals don't look so bad if you use 40 as the price. Apparently that's the way it's done, now, you pay now for projected future earnings.

OTOH, in the latest Forbes ASAP, George Gilder says that Cisco's technology is outmoded. He's been fairly good at predicting the future in that industry.
