I was able to confirm with HP that they will dual source switches today. I spoke with Elizabeth Dolcourt, the spokesperson listed at the end of the HP press release (she is with a third party communications firm). She confirmed that (1) BRCD is not the sole switch supplier to HP, and (2) that other switches are in testing and will be announced as they are approved. I also asked which other switches were being tested and she declined to say until they are approved. Finally, I asked how HP will determine the particular switch to use in a particular SAN installation. She indicated that she would check and get back to me on that. Eric
