No, this is not about anything bad, rather something good. Soon, very soon, there will no longer be a need for the lead in solder ending up in landfills. The environment will be improved by the presence of a new solder which is in part silver. This too was not reported on by CNBC when it caused a pop two weeks ago:

The point is they could be far better at reporting iin commodity related issues! Were you even aware Bill Gates bought 10.3% of a silver mining firm?
