CB, thanks...the contradictions between private inflation surveys, commodity price increases and the govt. data also become ever more glaring.
the market doesn't even know where inflation really stands, as the CPI never compares apples to apples with the hedonic pricing and substitution tricks built into the formula. that's one of the reasons why the Fed's monetary policy is too loose and has fostered the bubble.
