Mike, IDX is a second tier computer security company. Yes, flying below the radar right now. We have only 3 analysts. This will change. VRSN is flying high......their certificates are cool......Will they need a biometric certificate to offer their customers?......I think they will. As the issue of On-Line crime grows......the facts and figures will come out....and it will become clear that 80% of the crime takes place within the enterprise. A data base file of credit card numbers is most likely to be stolen from an employee within the company. This person can sell them. Crooks will get the information from folks on the inside. It is, by far, the easiest way to do it. Crooks will always look for the easiest way to do it. Fowler has said many times that protecting "intranets" is the first thing......Large companies. B to B. The consumer side will come with the products being made available.......and E-Tailers and credit card companies offering incentives to customers who use the advanced biometric authentication. I think E-Tailers and credit card companies know that they must do something.....they can't eat fraud rates that are 10x that of traditional retail. Right now.....Compaq is leading the way for IDX......I hope we see others......more availability of the products.......more credibility given to the technology. IDX has opened up many more reseller pipes....but no big ones.....or big names. IDX does any deal with VRSN......and we would be in the radar zone right away. I keep a chart of VRSN nearby always.......Just for fun. bg
