Yuh know, and I'm just noodle-ing here, that some consider cyber terrorism the most insidious threat to humanity that exists,

and, whether or not we agree to this theorem, it appears from some posts that this most recent spate of cyber terror/denial of service (DOS!) is only against Unix based servers; and,

if someone puts two and two together, that Linux is a committee based program, and if someone comes to the conclusion that there is then no way to protect an "open" committee designed program,

then, who would want to use Linux as their operating system. :)))

There is no way to insure that one of the contributors has not reserved a backdoor, or that each and every contributor is, well, uh, sane.

Hmmmmm.

James,

"It would be to me, too, if I just looked at trees instead of the whole forest. This relentless pogrom against Microsoft is a symptom of a much larger disease."

If the larger disease means low inflation, cheap investment capital, full employment and a runaway market, then I can see how upsetting the whole thing is to you. Please give some details on how this case has in any way slowed the economy of the U.S.? It hasn't even slowed Microsoft's earnings growth.

Conspiracy theorists usually see a forest where there is only a single tree.
