Towards the end they softened Lewy up quit a bit. Jim was consistently funny - one of the all time great characters on tv. You conspicuously leave out Latka. I thought he was the funniest character on the show... but to each his own eebeda. The episode where there was a revolution in Latka's homeland was the best: General Latka - looking at a map: " You mean we are here and the enemy is here, here, here, here, and here? Soldier: "That is correct General. What should we do?" General Latka: "I don't know about you but I am going home and watching Jonny Carson."
