I dump the whole contents, except for a couple, in the cookie file daily. The thing you'll lose is your portfolios if you have them at places like freerealtime or snap.. But I just wrote down all the ticker symbols and after my initial cleanout of the file, went back and reentered them. Now all the cookies I save stay at the top of the screen. The rest get canned.

as c.horn suggested, you can dump your cookies without worry. they regenerate <g3>. i clean cookies every one or two days. sweep everything out. you should also clear all temp internet files and all cache. i've read where you say you defrag on a regular basis. that's good.

things like this are just part of basic system maintenance. failing to perform these tasks can adversely impact system performance.

keep us posted on how you're doing with this purging.
