Any comments or suggestions? Just one vague possibility that is really scraping the bottom of the barrel. Change the aperture size in the BIOS to 256 Mbytes. Don't ask me what the aperture is. I got this information from the Matrox web site at: matrox.com Click on Technical Support, Tech Wizard and answer the questions to arrive at the answer given above.

Any comments or suggestions? Sue FYI I found the following message in the Matrox news group. It provides some insight into why your computer shop is having problems with the P3V4X and G400 combination. The P3V-133 is similar to the P3V4X. It uses the same Via-Appolo Pro 133 chip set. Except it has 4 PCI slots and only supports AGP 1X and 2X. "I'm using the Matrox G400 Max Dualhead with the Asus P3V-133 (not quite identical to the boards in your question) but I did have some difficulties making everything work. To make a long story short, I had to remove all my other cards and had to start the system with just the motherboard & the video card ... then, I had to use the latest unified drivers (from the Matrox site) to make the card work with Win98SE. There's one little quirk left, everytime I reboot, I have to make sure that my 3COM USB External Modem is not plugged into my USB hub, otherwise, the Windows boot-up process won't proceed - not sure if this is a Matrox, an Asus, a 3COM or a Xircom issue !?! but I can bet that if I phone one of these companies, they will be more than happy to tell me that it's the other company's problem <g>. Whatever the case is ... unfortunately, it's still my problem ! Hope this helps."
