Hey Guys,

I am building a web-based application that will let you plug in your stock ticker, a NUT, and any/all option (including puts and leaps) positions you want to check out. The end result will show you a chart based on current stock and option prices, with possible scenarios and or % gains/losses based on what your positions are. You can even just leave all the option stuff out, and it will do a bunch of "what" if's for you based on YOUR personal situation in a stock.

I know that may sound a little disjointed, but I haven't architected the app. yet. I was writing down my NUT on ROST today, and writing down my current positions with Calls/Puts and possible other opportunities to lock in profits and or increase them. I ended up writing a mini spreadsheet with a pencil and paper. I thought how handy it would be to have this on a site which could do it all for you, and show you the results quickly and efficiently. I'll even build in a portfolio manager, and specifically design this for options traders, something that I don't see much of on the web. This beats an excel spreadsheet, because I will update the prices on the fly, and can continually update the application. (not to mention provide a portfoilio) Here's my first problem:

OPTION QUOTES.

Sounds stupid, but Yahoo lets your send an HTTP request that will return a .CSV file with all your quote info. its perfect, except one small thing. It only does stocks, not listed options. Does anyone have any knowledge of a site that lets you download a file with options quotes similar to the yahoo offering? I've tried a little hacking to see if I could guess some column names on various sites, but its very tedious. Any help on this would be appreciated. If you want to take it off-line, please email me at rthomas@freewheeling.com

Thanks...

Ryan
