i'm not so sure about that: there is after all a highly flexible pool of traders money sloshing about in the system. it will look for a place to go to in case of a melt, and the depressed gold stocks are the obvious target. especially if the melt is initiated by a sudden unwinding of the gold carry trade...

i think the gold share rally may be aborted if stocks are ready to melt....
