Ike,

I am a value guy all the way.

But there are various methods of value investing. I don't just buy low PEs or low price/book values. I have no problem paying up a bit for growth if I am fairly confident in it. I also don't buy low PE stocks that aren't growing - because they really aren't cheap. I am trying to buy as much future earnings as I can for as cheap a price as I can. I want to find a business that I think has good long term prospects. Right now I think there are a handful of good values in the property casualty business. The sector is depressed, but I think it has bottomed (or close) and there are a few outstanding companies that are being given away. I think a few food companies are also moving into range. I always think in terms of 5-10 years. What I do requires a lot of patience and sometimes it can be quite frustrating. Especially when the loonies are bidding techs up to 100-200 times bogus earnings.
