There is no other company producing commercial grade LED Certainly you didn't mean to say that. Nichia, HP, Toyoda Gosei and perhaps others all produce a commercial LED. Even if SIC is the enabler for blue LED, SiC is only a part of the product. SiC is just the substrate of the cree LED, the all important actual photons of light are produced in another layer composed of GaN .A company can only be declared a gorilla with a present existing product, and so far these LED's aren't enough, they have less than half the blue LED market, and far less of the total LED market. You need to spend more time with the field manual.
