MyEvents.com Announces Alliance With Phone.com
MyEvents to Provide Mobile Phone Users Access to Calendars, Address Books, Task List and More
SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- MyEvents.com, the premier lifestyle management site, announced today they are joining the Phone.com(TM) (Nasdaq: PHCM - news) Alliance Program to provide their users another way to access their calendars, contacts, task lists and more via the mobile phone.

Through this alliance, MyEvents.com will provide its users with universal access to their personal and group tools, messaging, news headlines, stock portfolio and local weather even when they are away from their computers. This alliance, representing the integration of the Internet and wireless technology, empowers mobile phone subscribers to directly and instantly organize activities, coordinate schedules, and increase collaboration using their mobile phone's built-in UP.Browser(TM) microbrowser from Phone.com.

``This alliance furthers our mission of providing users unparalleled access to a central place to manage their lives,' said Patrick Connolly, CEO, MyEvents.com. ``Additionally, Phone.com's penetration of the global mobile phone market opens new distribution doors for MyEvents and our partners in Europe and Asia. This is a great marriage of technology.'

``Alliances like these are becoming increasingly important as people become more mobile and the use of mobile devices increases,' said Kathy Simpson, director of developer marketing for Phone.com. ``Now, people can take their important life management tools such as calendar, address book and to-do lists along with them wherever they go. We think the combination of these two technologies is very timely and useful for today's busy lifestyles.'

The Phone.com Alliance Program has two aims: to promote the concept of wireless information access, and to coordinate the exchange of ideas and information among Alliance Program members, other companies developing wireless Internet products and services, and Phone.com's network operators. MyEvents.com joins a growing list of alliances that includes content providers, application developers, tools providers and systems integrators using the Phone.com Product Family.
