I agree. They had to use tax losses for these numbers to occur. This would probably explain why most of the after hours trades were smaller ones. People read the headlines but didn't check the details.

The largest percentage of their marketing / advertising expenses for the year were booked in the 4th qtr. So, I suppose it's at least fortunate they had the tax losses to offset the expense.

If memory serves they reported good number last quarter but it was at a time when overall market wasn't sure how they'd deal with Y2K so reaction wasn't that great. Then price pressure news started hitting the entire industry.

You may also be correct that this will be just a bounce. I imagine there could be a number of people waiting for an opportunity to exit and move on to greener pastures.

Finally, it appears that it's going to open higher (I see 6 1/8 at this time).
