Frank, sometimes the speed of the net can slow down your connection. Anyone else in the west experiencing a very slow net tonight?

For the purest test of you BB, go to the download section on your ATHM start page and download a file there. I've found these are located on an ATHM server which bypasses the normal net congestion.

I've downloaded 40 meg files in under 15 seconds.

Due to hack attack the self healing rings can't heal and so the peering distribution is all crowded on one string. ATHM's private national leased backbone is that up to peer. It has to go to cloud for anything good and so the terms "private", "national", and "leased", are at best misleading. You get stuck paying for a fast transfer of packets as they drip out one by one from the cloud. At 2.44 you've got bitchband and it isn't only your experience.
