At this point I do not see Cree as a Gorilla. It seems to lack the proprietary technology with high switching costs. The semiconductor/LED, SiC,it produces, while certainly protected by patents, wouldn't appear to have high switching costs should a viable cheaper alternative arise. What Cree does appear to have is excellent execution with a long lead. Perhaps someone could show me where I've erred in my reasoning. I am very long on Cree and it makes up 21% of my non-pension portfolio. I am a big fan of the company. It seems to me that much of its extremely exciting technology is in the "early innovator" stage and hasn't even approached the chasm. The exception of course are the led's. But, again, I just don't see how led's have high switching costs. Wilhart
