OT--

Hi Ray,

As a sidenote, I wonder if you might want to post your opinion on the current JAKK TA? (Perhaps on that board might be best.) Obviously there are a lot of interesting connections between the two companies. What I find notable right now is that they both have a similar market cap and even though THQ is forecasting higher eps, I have a feeling both will earn about the same in 2000. But to me it seems JAKK's TA is turning up and THQ's is down and of course the same can be said for estimates/earnings growth. JAKK has earnings on Tuesday morning.

One final observation (I know at least a few people here own both stocks) is that despite being a toymaker with a lower industry multiple, that didn't stop JAKK from trading at a pretty nice PE at times last year.

Marc

Sorry Raymond, but I've provided you the latest on what the boys in academia are saying about charts. But that's OK you are still trying to get it straight. i.e.

You end by saying:
"Good luck on your studies. Fundamental analysis tells us what to buy, technical analysis tells us when."

But you start by saying:
"technical analysis does not predict; it only assess strengths."

Telling "us when" is predicting the future, but you know that right? I guess it's OK to change your theory when you hit the bottom of the page.

<<Can you explain why THQI found support at its 200 day moving average for the past 4 years and happened to break through it now? Was it just an arbitrary price level that coincidentally happened to give the stock support?

Good luck on your studies. Fundamental analysis tells us what to buy, technical analysis tells us when.

So true. In this case both technical and fundamental analysis are flashing "sell" signals.
