Andrew,

Thank you. I was certain whether I should dismiss his projections or take them into account doing my estimates for future growth. I will indeed have to take them more seriously than I thought:-))))

Regards and Thanks,

Brian

Someone said (I think henry Blodgett) that within a few years, 75% of the dot.com companies will not exist through failure or consolidation. The equipment sector may have a few consolidations but the secotr will prevail for more years than the present Internet companies that are being hyped.

Andrew, Last June, per thestreet.com, the chip equipment analyst at Merrill said "This idea that everybody is going to recover is dead wrong...There are a whole host of companies that will not be able to reproduce their profitability of the last up cycle...We've seen a run-up in orders, but we've yet to see who will be profitable." He said that AMAT, KLAC and NVLS were the keepers and went on to call LRCX, MTSN, and FSII the also-rans. LRCX was his lowest-rated stock, but turned out to be the best performer in his coverage.
