IntraCoastal accounts for rise in share price
IntraCoastal System Engineering Corp ISY
Shares issued 12,848,478 2000-02-09 close $1.15
Thursday Feb 10 2000

Mr. Ted Ohashi reports
External developments account for the rise in the price of its common shares from 52 cents to a close of $1.15 on Feb. 9. Overall stock market conditions have been favourable toward common stocks and after several years of underperformance, small cap stocks in Canada appear to be in the early stages of a recovery. At the recent International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nev., the potential for growth in the home network was featured by companies such as Microsoft, Sun Microsystems and Cisco Systems. This appears to have generated investor interest in companies, including IntraCoastal, that are engaged in power line communications. In addition, Microsoft is making an equity investment in Itran Communications Ltd., a private company that is engaged in the transmission of data through home power lines.
