Ranney, I agree. TA guys are very good at explaining what happened and the FA guys make the money.

If TA can't help to predict the future course of a stock's price, then it is nothing more than an academic exercise in ancient history RRanney, Apply the same standard to FA. It doesnt predict prices either, so what good is it? You're making a conclusion based on speculation. Just because TA cant predict prices, you say, it is of no use. But I disagree. Let's say there's a race. Two people are running. I have TA here by my side. It doesnt tell me who will win. But it does tell me that the first guy has a 300 yard lead over the second guy. I don't know who will win, but I can tell who is likely to win. The same in the market. TA tells us whether bulls or bears are dominant. While that doesn't mean they will be continue to be dominant, it does increase the probability of successfully trading a stock. Conservatively Yours, Raymond J. Norris
