Dave,

I don't follow MO all that closely, so perhaps others on the thread can also comment. That said, when you get a yield that high, it usually means that the underlying stock has collapsed for one reason or another. In MO's case, the litigation from what I understand is the reason. Another caveat - if things get bad enough the dividend gets cut. IBM had a very high yield back in the early 90's when the stock collapsed. When Gerstner came in the dividend was cut way back. I'm not saying this will be the case with MO, it's just something to be aware of.
