An observation about the SPARC II line and margins. If Sun can extend the marketing life of the SPARC II line, as they have indicated they will do. Doesn't that increase their margins. The research and development on the line has been written off. The longer this line sells without the need to bring on SPARC III the more profitable SPARC II becomes. This is also is giving them more room to maneuver SPARC III and MAJC which may be even more of a threat to Intel then Sony's Playstation II.
