L, When its online system isn't functioning properly -- for whatever reason, I believe Schwab usually will let you place your order over the phone and charge the same commission. Have you asked them about that?

I've hit it once before. If you have them do it over the phone, they'll charge the same and you can trade online thereafter.

I imagine they don't upload the complete CBOE list, but rather add options as people trade them.
