and if I may chime in, the revenues translate to bottomline earnings essentially $ for $ (before taxes). This is very unlike the revenue growth of the likes of AMZN...

>I agree completely with you about your conclusions. It's starting from a small base, but once more
epgs are deployed, and more ad space gets used, and perhaps the ad rates go up, the result will be exponential growth.>

Color me naive on this one, but is it not the anticipation of eventual ad growth that holds the huge promise in GMST! At this point, the ultimate ad revenue remains an unknown but for those of us early investing the Gem, is it not assumed that ad revenue will grow enormously and dwarf all front end fees? IMO, the current rate of ad growth is a very good beginning supporting that assumption! Am I reading this incorrectly? I was somewhat disappointed in the #s, but not the ad growth!

This would mean they've had sequential growth in advertising revenue of 50%, 67%, and 100% over the past three quarters.

Gemstar maintains a low profile. This will likely change post merger with the media giants News Corp and Liberty Media. What if the headlines were to read:

GEMSTAR REPORTS 60% SEQUENTIAL QUARTER GROWTH IN ADVERTISING REVENUES

There was much good news mentioned within the CC (in HenrySpeak) such as the above ad revs, the TiVo matter, Thomson/Europe, the eBook market, AOL/TWX and the GIC/TVGIA relationship. I have thoughts on all the above but need to get the time to sit here for more than a few minutes to elaborate.
