"Underwriting fees for the re-insurance business is inadequate." That is exactly my concerns. There are a lot of press report about huge loss of re-insurance of work compensations. When Brk's earning come out? zg

I am concerned about the statement in the last quarterly (Sept) that the Underwriting fees for the re-insurance business is inadequate. I want to know how they are going to respond to this.

As a card carrying member of the great unwashed, I would say that this means that Warren thinks that GenRe, which has very little competition, should charge more. And I think the implication is that Warren believes the market will support the price increase.

What is your opinion?
