I got rid of that imgicon.exe thingy, but still had trouble. Then I found something, a program called system file checker that comes with WIN 98 and checks the integrity of your system files and replaces the ones that are hosed. It found one, and I cannot even remember the name of it, but it was different than the two Dr Watson has told me about, the GDI.EXE and Kernel32.dll files. So maybe that will do it. I hope so, this is a pain in the neck. I had to reboot several times today.
