Stew,

Gemstar maintains a low profile. This will likely change post merger with the media giants News Corp and Liberty Media. What if the headlines were to read:

GEMSTAR REPORTS 60% SEQUENTIAL QUARTER GROWTH IN ADVERTISING REVENUES

That, and change the name to Gemstar.com. <G>

Dave

I don't quite get this market! Everything I had hoped for with the earnings was there (fear was they might miss the way the stock acted). The analyist upgrades came in nicely early on (120+ and 150). The market was supportive (Naz up 120+). All the recipe for us to retest the 881/2 high we set 3 weeks back. Instead DOWN 21/2 points on heavy volume! Enough to get weak hands out of the stock. I am stubborn though and am prepared for a rough ride. I just don't 'get it'. I am glad for the upgrades because it confirms I am not crazy. I am glad the cc confirms everything is going forward as planned. I am glad we did not tank. I am confused why we did not rally (yet). HANGING TOUGH IN PA. Steve D.
