When AOL bought Netscape in 1998 that did not prevent AOL from reaching new highs before the merger completed. Therefore I believe CMGI's acquisition of UBID, which is much smaller than the AOL/Netscape deal, will have little to no affect on the stock's upward mobility IMHO.
