Hey Al since December 20th two analysts have flip-flopped.

I guess that means Dan Niles who was notnot recommending it out of panic back then at a higher price was right and is now recommending it out of panic at a lower price and is wrong?

Likewise Charlie Wolf who was recommending it out of panic back then at a higher price was wrong? and is now calmly recommending to sell it at a lower price and is right?

I think your on to something here and want to be absolutely sure I understand it correctly. Are you recommending that I notnot get back in now because there's still panic buying going on?

I guess those analysts want to give their customers crumbs to keep them happy? or to give them panic attacks? or show them, WHAT?

..looking for crumbs to give their customers...

That made me laugh ;) While true, I'd rather take the crumbs at the moment. Got into DELL in Jan around 42 hoping that it'd pick up with Windows2000 sales and that it was holding out on the earnings warnings (while IBM and CPQ put out their warnings). Then invariably the earnings warnings happenned (saw it coming too late I guess)... and now we're sitting in the 35-38 range.

Honestly, what are the short and long term prospects of DELL? Would post Windows2000 sales lift it? Component supplies are improving, people are coming out of the Y2K closets to put in sales orders? What does all that mean for DELL stock?

Regards,
SRoy
