Here is an article about BP/Amoco's Colombian activity. If I remember correctly, a few days ago you said they had never made any $$$ on Colombia. I find it hard to believe they would be considering this: (I do agree that Colombia is a risky place to operate, but money is being made there)

Colombia, British Petroleum-Led Group Mulling $80 Mln Gas Plant

Bogota, Feb. 10 (Bloomberg) -- Colombia and a consortium led by British
Petroleum Amoco Plc. are considering building an $80 million plant to process
natural gas from the BP-managed Cusiana- Cupiagua oil fields to supply the
country and for export.

Mines and Energy Minister Carlos Caballero said the government and the
BP-led group, which includes Triton Energy Ltda. and France's Total Fina SA,
were considering building the
plant at the Cusiana-Cupiagua oil field, the county's largest. BP said no decision
had been made and that consultations on pricing
were in progress at the state-run energy regulatory commission. ``We need an
agreement among all the partners,' said a BP
spokesman. ``And it would very much depend on what the rules of the game
