I am amazed that Intel have still not displayed any fast processors.

If Willamette is well ahead of schedule - first silicon just booted and ran - amazing speeds for pre-production - then why still only foils?

If it is going to be volume shipping in 4Q it had better be in a shape to demo sometime soon. Or are Intel expecting their OEMs to ship a completely new processor with just 3 days to check it out?

Update: Via downplays ITC probe

eet.com;

survivin, Intel is stepping up its efforts to neutralize Via by going after it and its affiliates that weren't even involved.

I wonder how far they will get.
