That's ridiculous.... Utterly stupid... DEC got bushwacked because it's hardware was sqeezed by mainframes from the top and cheap PC's and servers from the bottom, as well as specialized unix vendors... Now SUN is everywhere in telcos (Netra Servers), they are everywhere in e-commerce and ISP's. Thei E10000 series and others ares elling like hotcakes and their is NO competitive threat on the horizon to unseat them.. PC' nope NT will get a good share, but not SUN's IBM is in a world of hurt, I promise you that You are plain WRONG to compare SUN and DEC/Digital BFN Jean
