Hi Tery:

I posted a bit of a note last night in which I noted that aside from the usual list of problems for RMBS, I am getting indications that Intel is (finally) backing away from their earlier "massive commitment". My guess is that Intel will wait until they have sold off their non-escrowed RMBS stock before making it official, but at this stage, it is already taken for granted in the industry.

The patent infringement thing smells like a last gasp red herring.

I also believe that there is some better memory technology coming that will hurt not only RMBS' memory prospects.

Intel's supposed sponsorship is the only thing keeping this soggy situation from sinking out of sight. That, plus the fact that several huge funds have been suckered into taking in big positions. Sooner or later, one of them will try to sneak out the back door, and then the flood of "offers" will come. The stock has few redeeming credentials and it is priced beyond perfection.

No specific long knives, just a collection of daggers in its back and I don't want to miss the collapse.

Best, Earlie.
