Paul,

Would you mind describing your PC and the installed hardware for us ?
Also - was the Windows 2000 installed as an upgrade?
If so, over what prior OS ?

Supermicro / Slot 1 Celeron 333
327.680 Mbytes SDRAM
3940?? ultra SCSI dual channel
Matrox G400
Draytek USB ISDN adapter
Intel USB camera
HP4c scanner, printer, Yamaha SCSI 4,2,8 ?? CD recorder, HP DAT

W2000 final was installed on top of W2000 RC2 which had been installed on a new IDE 8 Gbyte disc.

Also in the system is a SCSI 9 Gbyte disc originally used under NT4 sp5 which I simply plugged in after I was happy that RC2 was working reliably.

Only serious problem was that under RC2 Draytek ISDN adapter would stop hanging up calls. Full restart needed to correct this. Now OK with final release and latest drivers from Drayrek web site.

Some software packages were difficult to install under RC2 but I have not yet tried again under final version.
