Gemini Learning Systems
Salient Cybertech, Inc. (OTC BB: SLEL - news) and its subsidiary Gemini Learning Systems, Inc. (Gemini), developers of adaptive learning technologies, today disclosed the global retail distribution of its courseware technology through its UK partner, GST Technology Limited (GST).
The expansion into the international retail market follows the successful Q4 launch of GST's ''getWise'' brand of training programs, which is based on innovative content and technology developed by Gemini, whose computer based training programs offer users a uniquely personalized learning experience.
The ''getWise'' software line, which includes training courses for Microsoft's (NASDAQ:MSFT - news) Office 2000 and '97 suites, made its entry into retail--and Internet--distribution, through Dixon's and PC World, the UK's largest home computing chain, during the last quarter of 1999. On the heels of the launch, GST has now signed with WH Smith, the well-known UK-based bookseller, as well as other retail distributors in the U.S., Australia, Scandinavia, Holland and South Africa.
Jeff Fenton, CEO of GST explained, ''We believe there is a huge opportunity for both the international home and OEM markets for these high quality, affordable, CD-ROM-based courses, and we are very confident in our ability to reach them.''
Gemini President and CEO Kim Adolphe was extremely pleased with the launch of the ''getWise'' product line. ''GST's successful promotion of the ''getWise'' brand puts Gemini's revolutionary and personalized technology in the hands of a worldwide audience. We strongly support GST, and commit to our mutual success with newer products and even more innovative technology in the future.''
