Bob, Boy, are you barking up the wrong tree on this one. Bush beats Gore hands down? Not unless he miraculously improves as a campaigner. The press's gushing over McCain is easily explained. He has been open and accessible and charming, and reporters are as succeptable to charm as anyone else. Furthermore, the press's real bias -- which is quite open -- is for a horserace. They want action! a tight race! fierce debates! anything but a coronation. This naturally makes them root for McCain. If McCain becomes the front runner, they will attack him then...
