we can assume tuesday move precipitated the current events. the company acquiring began shorting so as to not have to pay so much, and of course thqi jumped in trying to lower the price so the shorts could exit (shows how caring thqi mgmt is, they think of the shorts before long term holders), and then of course any mgmt type being granted options would also want the price artificially lower, so the option will be worth mucho as the price rebounds.
