Well I think they must have something in the works that would be benifical to ACA or they would not have got the P.P in Dec./Jan/00.
got my fingers crossed for us all. Is it possible that the fact that the big mine in the NWT has almost got permission to start development, that maybe the settlement is just helping any prospects for Ashton's exploration/future discovery in the NWT's..that's really stretching the maybes ,isn't it? Well I've got nothing else to do so why not!
cheers
violetta

PDAC may be boring unless there are a few projects to talk about. Ashton does have a booth...

At current price, Ashton is one of the few juniors with strong in house technical expertise and a backing of a diamond producer who controls approx. 62%... There can't be more than 10million shares out there.....

One other thing that crossed my mind, wonder who did the private placement on Ashton...????? Maybe they are trying to revive the stock....

Jimsy, let me get serious for a minute... This is an extract from the Jan release..

Northwest Territories and Nunavut Preparations are under way for winter ground geophysical programs on the Star,
Roundrock and Cross properties. Unexplained indicator mineral anomalies are present on all three properties and high priority targets will be scheduled for
drilling upon completion of the geophysical program.

Drilling in Northern Alberta has resumed, with the program to focus on a minimum of five high-priority targets on the Buffalo Hills and Rabbit Lake properties, two
high-priority targets on the Caribou Mountains property.

Further testing of diamondiferous kimberlite BH225 in the K14 project area. BH225 was discovered in February, 1999, and as reported in Stockwatch April 28, www.ashton.ca/news/1999/99-05.html , it returned encouraging microdiamond results from a small sample.

Someone who knows more than us is speculating on encouraging results from any of the above and may be the reason with the recent volume and price movement.
