Nothing here that the thread is not already familiar with, but FWIW...(Written it seems from more of an investment viewpoint than a technological one.)

"Enron puts its energy into broadband
Already No. 1 in electricity and natural gas trading, the utility now takes a shot at brokering Internet access contracts. History and analysts say Enron can deliver."

Frank,

Business Week has a short blurb in their latest issue about a company called AANet.com that claims to be developing a new technology to speed up communication from chip to chip. It eliminates cross-talk by using a serial connection scheme in place of the more usual parallel scheme, supposedly allowing more chips in less space and higher speeds. This is being touted as leading to terabit routers. Cisco is said to have an interest in the company.

I'm posting this in the hopes you will comment on this and give me (us) the benefit of your wisdom as to the prospects of the technology. The article, which has little information, is at:

Frank or anybody else:

A couple months ago a firm put out numbers for the market share of the various DWDM players-does anybody remember who that was? Just doing some homework here and can't for the life of me remember who it was... Thanks in advance.
