SO: The market more than ever has become a sentiment play. (Just plain gambling.) The trick is to play the mo mo issues up and down. If you can get in early, but don't chase em up or down...<g>

SO, the CWX is just breaking out, i think there is some gold to mine in software internet infrastructure providers like orcl still on this leg up.

this is a rotational market, the sucker finds a new group to rotate into and power up, continuing the rally.

but this "new economy" stuff rolling off everyone's lips is a bunch of hooey.

This is late stage bull market behavior, the bluest of the blue chips are no longer going up, the only thing going up are speculative issues.

I'm hearing even the most staid of stock market analysts jump on the 'new economy" bandwagon.

I think they all are selling the gillette or procter and gamble to buy stocks with no track record and no earnings like cmrc.

The idea that ADSP is a Linux play is mistaken, along with CNBC's
misreporting over Thanksgiving that it is a wireless company. Both
of these corrections are widely known now, which undercuts a couple
reasons for ADSP to take off. The other point is that the squeeze play arranged on the three hour Thanksgiving Friday trading day would
be nearly impossible to organize now because of how difficult it
would be to create those circumstances, including lots of shorting,
which no longer exists.

ANDN is up on the buyout announcement.

My best,
d

>>The market rotation and volatility in just incredible. Stocks move in and out of favor in weeks. Out of the 200 companies I follow (mainly IPO's and Tech's) many of them are currently breaking out while others are now correcting from big moves made just weeks ago. <<

I wonder how long it will take the "average" investor to throw their hands up and cash out of this circus?
