In reading all the technical discussions, the best conclusion I could come to regarding CDMA vs TDMA is that CDMA has advantages over older cable plant, and its a toss-up over upgraded cable plant with perhaps TDMA having some advantages.

Assuming this is correct, I think economics rather than subtle technical differences will determine the winner. For example, if you are a cable operator with older, or mixed older and upgraded plant, are you better off economically to keep your existing plant and use TERN's CDMA, or are you better off upgrading your plant and picking TDMA. Do you or someone else out there have an understanding of the economics of the cable industry? Thanks.
